All good boys and girls know that Evil Clowns manipulate search engines using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies. They want your eyeballs, but they don’t actually have relevant content. “Evil Clown Drawings” is (currently) a very popular ‘key phrase’ with a relatively low level of results for the search engines to work with – Yum!

Often artists, photographers, writers and other cool people don’t know fen about Marketing and even less about the dark art of SEO. The result is fen search results – you can’t find what you need.

Even sniffing for your umbral cravings using the image tools of your local engine overlooks much coveted material - often creators don’t title file names descriptively, use synonyms, ‘alt tags’, textual content for spiders or a complicated link structure that supports their content.

What can you do?
